SAFETY TIPS:

Look and be alert. Be aware of your surroundings.

Don't carry large sums of cash or excess credit cards on your persons.

Be aware of loud arguments or commotions; they can be staged to distract you.

Have your keys ready when entering your home or automobile.

Don't wait until you have your packages down inside before you lock your front door.

Don't volunteer information to unknown callers.

Identity the stranger before you open your door. Demand to see identification (telephone, gas or light company personnel).

Don't leave your keys anywhere (mailbox, under the mat, etc.)

Notify the police when suspicious persons loiter around your home or place of business.

Always double lock your door when leaving, even to put out trash, pick up mail or walk the dog.
