NYPD Community Affairs Bureau Second Annual Far Rockaway/Harlem Giants Football Awards Banquet

NYPD Community Affairs Bureau Second Annual Far Rockaway/Harlem Giants Football Awards Banquet

Last night, hundreds of young student athletes and their families from schools throughout New York City gathered at Police Headquarters, along with First Deputy Commissioner Tania Kinsella, John Mara, President & CEO of the New York Giants, and Susan Birnbaum, President & CEO of the New York City Police Foundation to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the NYPD’s Far Rockaway/Harlem Giants Youth Football Program stars. The evening honored their dedication, teamwork, and perseverance on and off the field. We applaud their accomplishments and wish them all success in the school year ahead.  We would also like to thank Giants players Daniel Jones, Darius Slayton, and Joshua Ezeudu for helping to shine a spotlight on this incredible program and for their support of the New York City Police Foundation and the efforts of members of the NYPD’s Community Affairs Bureau’s Neighborhood Coordination School Initiative (NCSI).  Congratulations to Lt. Lenora Moody and Lt. Kai Bowen of the Youth Strategies Division for their tireless efforts throughout the year and for organizing a wonderful evening for these truly deserving young New Yorkers!
