Andreas C. Dracopoulos, Co-President of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) is an international grantmaking organization that supports nonprofit organizations in the areas of arts and culture, education, health and sports, and social welfare. Since 1996, the Foundation has committed nearly $4 billion to more than 3,000 grantee-partners in over 135 countries.
SNF is led by Co-President Andreas C. Dracopoulos, who is a Trustee of The Rockefeller University, NewYork–Presbyterian, and The Paley Center for Media in New York, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC. He is also a Board of Advisors Trustee at the New York Public Library and a Trustee Emeritus of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He has received Greece’s Grand Cross of the Order of Honor and France’s rank of the Officer of the Legion of Honor. Born and raised in Athens, he graduated from Athens College and continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He is married and lives in New York City.
SNF and Andreas personally have both supported the New York City Police Foundation’s International Liaison Program and Community Engagement Initiatives for well over a decade, recognizing community as key to making New York City a safer place for all to live, work, visit, and grow up.
