New York City Police Foundation Proudly Sponsors 2025 Citywide Baby Showers

In neighborhoods across the five boroughs the New York City Police Foundation sponsored the NYPD’s Citywide Community Baby Showers — events that truly embody our commitment to community, connection, and Building A Safer City Together.

The Citywide Baby Showers bring together expecting and new parents to support them on their important journey. Families receive essential baby supplies — diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, books — and connect face-to-face with healthcare professionals, social service agencies, parenting educators, and the NYPD officers who serve their communities.

Echoing the successful kickoff in the Bronx, the initiative expanded citywide, offering several neighborhood events from Manhattan to Staten Island. In 2025, the initiative brought together community partners to share information on infant care, prenatal/postpartum health, and safe sleep practices — empowering families with knowledge.

Why We Sponsor

As a cornerstone of “Building A Safer City Together,” the Police Foundation believes public safety means more than crime prevention. It starts with healthy families, wellness, and partnership with local institutions. Partnering with community organizations and the NYPD, the Police Foundation’s support helps bridge connections, break down stigma, and foster relationships between police and the public that endure long past the event.

Looking Ahead

We are proud to build on the momentum of 2025 — supporting New York’s Finest and deepening the impact. These community events make families better equipped to care for young New Yorkers, while reinforcing a positive relationship between NYPD and the people they serve.
