07 Oct 2024 New York City Police Foundation Sponsors New Fitness Facility at Brooklyn Precinct
Providing health and wellness resources for New York’s Finest is a top priority for the New York City Police Foundation, and it’s a mission we take to heart. The work that police officers do each day is physically demanding, mentally taxing, and emotionally challenging. Supporting their well-being is not just a gesture of appreciation—it’s an essential investment in the health, readiness, and resilience of the officers who keep our city safe.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Police Foundation donors, we recently had the privilege of sponsoring a new cardiovascular fitness center at the 73 Precinct in Brooklyn. This state-of-the-art facility was designed to give officers direct access to tools and equipment that promote heart health, physical fitness, and overall wellness. Police Foundation team members were honored to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside members of the NYPD, local leaders, and community supporters, all of whom recognize how critical it is to prioritize officer wellness. This fitness center is more than just a gym—it’s a symbol of our commitment to supporting officers in every aspect of their lives, both on and off the job.
