26 Jun 2025 New York City Police Foundation Sponsors Precinct Lounge Renovation
The New York City Police Foundation is proud to have sponsored a newly renovated kitchen and lounge area at the NYPD’s 19th Precinct. The space has been completely rebuilt into a welcoming, functional environment that promotes the health and well-being of the officers and professional staff who serve the Upper East Side community every day.
The Police Foundation team joined members of the NYPD – along with Foundation Trustee Mitchell E. Rudin and members of his family, including his wife Bonnie, son Scott Rudin, and daughter-in-law Jessie Rudin – for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the new space.
Providing resources for New York’s Finest is a top priority for the New York City Police Foundation, and it’s a mission we take to heart. The work police officers do each day is physically demanding, mentally taxing, and emotionally challenging. Supporting their well-being is not just a gesture of appreciation — it’s an essential investment in the health, readiness, and resilience of the officers who keep our city safe.
Why We Sponsor
As a cornerstone of Building A Safer City Together, the Police Foundation believes public safety means more than crime prevention. It also includes healthy officers and professional staff, wellness, and strong partnerships with local institutions. The Police Foundation helps create supportive spaces for New York’s Finest.
Looking Ahead
We are proud to build on the momentum of 2025 — supporting New York’s Finest and deepening our impact. Precinct renovations exemplify the Police Foundation’s commitment to the NYPD and the importance of health and wellness.
